i have an amd duron 1.29 ghz processor computer with 224 mb ram. i wanted to put more ram on but my uncle says it will stuff up da comp. wat is da maximum amount of ram i can put into my computer

Depends on the motherboard, not the processor. Note that you probably have 256 MB, and your video card is borrowing 32 MB.

If you go to the manufacturer web site and look up your model under "support", they will tell you what kind it is and the maximum it can take. It is almost certainly more than 256MB.

Crucial will find the right memory for your computer.

You can put in as much as your motherboard allows. It has nothing to do with the processor. Check the motherboard manual to see the max amount of ram. Most will be between 2 and 4 GB depending on how long you have had it.
But, more than 4 GB of memory on a 1.29 GHz machine won't make much of a difference since the processor can only go so fast and more memory won't help.
I reccomend between 2 and 3 GB for your computer.
