Keep on asking questions and you'll eventually get more responses.
It took me about a year to get the amount of answers l'm getting now.
Just keep the questions simple.

You need to add more contacts. When you do this, they receive an e-mail informing them you added them. Generally, they will click on the link and add you which makes them your fan. Every time you ask a question, your fans get your questions in an e-mail, unless they have disabled this feature. The more fans you have, the more answers you get!
I would suggest adding everyone who answers your questions! Hopefully that will increase the answers you get.
Also, try to ask questions that everyone can answer no matter what gender, age, race they are or where they live. If you ask questions which are directed to a few people only, you won't get as many answers.
Instead of asking "How many of you hear live in Utah?", ask "What state to you live in?"
Instead of asking "Do you have a dog?", ask "What pets do you have?"

Some of my best questions only have 2-5 answers. Timing is everything!

It depends on the question. When I ask serious good ones I get 5 responses. When I ask the silly ones I get loads of answers. What does it matter we are still on level 6.

it depends on the question, if you ask something that a lot of people will know you will get more answers but if you ask something like, "how many ounces of ink are there in a pen" you'll get less answers because less people know...

Try putting I dare you to answer this question or do not answer this question in parenthesis beside the question. Anytime you tell someone not to do something or dare them to then they will do it just for spite. LOL.
