if you got a dui, then let it go, dont even attempt to get a license again. you are a danger to everyone else on the road and yourself, take a bus or a cab and let everyone live longer, sorry to be so blunt, but if you drive drunk even once, you dont belong on the road.

Depends what state you live in. In CA you automatically lose it for 4 months, have to take classes, pay fines. And that's just through DMV. (or, you cannot drive for 1 month, then can have restricted work/school only for 6 mos.) Then you have to deal with the court. More fines, make sure you do the classes, pay through the nose. Then your insurance company finds out and you need an SR-22 to prove you are insured, more money. Your insurance triples. It's really a pain. You may never drink again because it is such a pain to go through. I don't understand why there isn't more prevention effort rather than punishment effort. ugh.
And don't everybody go knocking drunk drivers. We've all done it and were just lucky enough to not get caught. Then when a friend gets caught, we all wake up and swear to not do it again. Be real. Barney Fife would have just put you in the clink overnight. Now it's all about the state and the police collecting as much money as possible with lots of bogus convictions because they can lie all they want and judges just believe them. No, I'm not bitterrrr.

That is a question for the court or Motor Vehicle. You will probably have to take a course and jump through some hoops. For your own sake and the sake of others please don't drink and drive any more.
