Actually, we get most of our oil from Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela.

A, we dont trade with Iran and if they take over Iraqs oil fields we have to go somewhere else looking for oil...

probably because, historically speaking, when it comes to oil, lets just say Iran isnt very dependable...Iran, however does trade with Asia and we all know how, in recent times, we depend on cheap Asian products...
so Id say...the average citizen of the world, not just America, can be worried about further destablization of the middle east.

Having a religious government like Iran in control is very dangerous. The quest for power and dominance wouldn't stop at the borders of the Middle east! The problems this would cause would spread to Europe first then the US.
Oil, the middle east contains 85% of all disoverd oil on the earth. If you want to pay $35 a gallon the by all means protest! With that high of energy prices inflation would get out of control. Our economy would be devistated!
You plan on being an Isolationist? You are a far cry from real liberal from the past!

Do you drive a car? If you do you better keep up on what's going on in the Middle East. If Iran controls the Middle East, we're going to be back riding the horse and buggy.

I believe that we should shun the entire Middle East and some portions of Northeast Africa. We shouldn't have any trade relations with them, no immigration, and only one-way emmigration. If they try to spread out and conquer other countries, they should be stopped immediately and without pity. As long as they remain contained within their little part of the world let them live however they want. If they want to abuse each other and ban human rights, let them. They are too messed-up to deal with.

because, iran is not a dominating country.I think united states should quit sending money to foreign countries and keep it all for ourselves.Have you looked at the price of gas.The middle east is the middle east and being an american means caring for other people because we love life.

The average american shouldn't care. But since im not average ill just tell you anyway. Make sure your sitting because this might be a long rant. So in essence your question is why should a free country be worried about a religious dictatorship gaining a political foothold in a region in which said free country had trillions of dollars invested. I dont know.

not as long they continue selling oil to the market. they haven't attacked another country first in over 200 years!!!!!
the problem with iran is they have been threatening to quit accepting the US dollar for her oil currency. this is what happened to saddam and look what that got him. last week venezeula and saudi announced they are thinking of dumping the dollar for the euro, then what? attack everybody!?!?
i will also add this; what happens after we strike iran with the 2000 targets we have selected. they include taking out the entire iranian military. all they have left then will be suicide bombers. makes alot of sense if you are trying to generate new enemies in the war on terror doesn't it.

Because they like their creature comforts and to obtain those we need a good economy. Western economies are dependent on Middle Eastern oil flowing unhindered.
