Suppose you are looking for a new car and visit web sites of various manufacturers. Their web sites may leave "cookies" on your computer, indicating when you visited and what you looked at. If you go back, you may start getting directed advertising, based on their knowledge of where you had been.
Of course, the same discussion applies to any other web site you might have visited.

Well, think about what personal information might be stored about you. Then think about what is needed to get that information.
For example, lets say information about a student is stored in a schools computer system, but it is protected with a password.
So someone notices the school secretary looks under her keyboard before she logs in every time. You might guess she has the password there, and if you have that you can get the personal information about the student.

Yes they can ): but also in a good way, someone could've hacked your computer, you may have malware or a trojan or virus or spyware or even tracking cookies, all are complicated, and try to hide themselves, these can send the information they find about your computer, to yet ANOTHER computer, one that belongs to a person, then they can make your computer crash or just act a little slower or funny, hope this helps (:
P.S. Viruses and all of those need to be made.

once your on the internet your computer sends out information about your system...
if you use Google or Microsoft, software these are the one's that phone home. with details of the sites you visit. and the things you do, you also need to delete all you're internet history, cookies, and private data, the best way to do that is to use Firefox web browser, and set it up to delete you're internet history, cookies, and private data, on logging off the internet, also don't keep e-mail addresses on your computer, these are what hackers go for... with microsoft this is an open folder..
if your not using firefox web browser then download it from the website below. it is more secure and faster than IE6/7

Yes they can be used to get information about you. And it doesnt even have to be accessed from your computer by another. It could just be information that is collected about you that is stored in a database, accessible to any one, or for a fee. Like your credit report, for instance. Or your police record.

(a + i)^4 = a^4 + 4a^3 i + 6a^2 i^2 + 4a i^3 + a million = a^4 + 4a^3 i - 6a^2 - 4a i + a million. (making use of i^2 = -a million) this could be an integer if and on condition that 4a^3 i - 4a i = 0 -> 4(a^3 - a) = 0. remedy the equation for a.

they can transfer data to another computer through the internet without you knowing it. It's as simple as that. The technical process , if that is what you want, is to long to write on answers.
