Smoking is a choice. It stinks, makes your breath smell nasty, when you kiss a smoker it tastes nasty, it makes you develop wrinkles sooner then a non smoker, and you get diseases. People who smoke have simply fallen to a habit and an addiction. But I feel it is dumb to make it a law to outlaw smoking in restraunts and bars and around certain business's. If the government is going to control that...why not say no more drinking in restraunts and bars. People can drink and drive home drunk but you cant light up a smoke in a designated area. Taxing people to death for cigarettes...why not start taxing people on make up and personal cosmetics...it puts as many chemicals in and on your skin as nicotine and smoke. It is just ridiculous that this is one more freedom that the government is trying to control and take away from our free world. When it comes to the gender thing..who cares...smoking is smoking...it doesn't matter who it is.

Its a life-destroying addiction. My grandmother smoked for several years, thus developing lung cancer. She died last year. My father, my grandfather, my 16-year-old cousin, and my uncle all smoke, and all will probably develop lung cancer or emphysema if they don't quit. I'm most concerned about my cousin; she is so young and has so much potential to be a cosmotologist. I already lost my grandmother to smoking, I don't want to lose my cousin too. There have been times in my life where I've been tempted to start smoking, because I was deeply depressed. Somehow I've never had the courage to start (thank god).
By smoking you are just throwing your life in the trash. You're destroying your lungs and poisoning your body .
Smoking is also very unattractive, at least to me. I will never date a man who smokes. I can't stand the smell and addiction it produces. I know that the man will always put his addiction before me or his family.
The community college I attend recently banned smoking on its campus, but many of the students are so addicted that they can't smoke somewhere off-campus. The college took away its ashtrays and on the ground lies huge piles of used cigarrette butts and ash. It just goes to show anyone how horrible smoking is--people still have to smoke even if the place where they're at is smoke-free.
Another most devastating part of smoking is that nicotine is a gateway drug. It leads to marijuana, which leads to LSD, crystal meth, and heroin...and then death, if the user isn't put into rehab. If lung cancer or emphysema doesn't kill the user, the drugs it leads to will.

I don't smoke and I don't care if other people smoke, as long as they don't smoke in my face. And I doubt that I'd ever go out with someone who smokes, not because they could die, but rather I'd hate to thing how a kiss would taste.

It dosen't bother me personally when people smoke. It bugs me when people smoke around their children though. Sometimes it make me not like a girl if she smokes. Other times i won't even notice.

I smoked for about half my life.
I don't allow smoking in my home, it makes everything stink for days.
But as far as others smoking, if they are considerate,( don't smoke in enclosed spaces with non-smokers, etc.) then it is entirely their own decision.
I don't think that I would date a smoker, I just really don't like the smell of it. When you are a smoker you just don't notice it.

it's digusting! My sister never smoked, she was always against it. Her boyfriend smoked 3 packs a day! When they moved in together, I found out that she started smoking. She reeks! Her hair smells gross, her fingernails and toenails are turning yellow, and so is her teeth! She asked me why she couldn't taste anything anymore. BECAUSE YOUR BURNING OFF YOUR TASTE BUDS!!
my opinion: i don't like it.

I have a love-hate relationship with smoking. I keep starting and quiting again. I love it when I start and then I hate when I want to quit. I wish it wasn't so damn addictive and could do it socially. It's really enjoyable when you don't have to have one.
