No system is perfect.

There is a lot merit in the US system. Innovation, technology, freedom of expression, systems, ...

However, there are are negatives as well, breakdown of moral values, income divide, media exploitation, ...

But on balance, there are things you can learn from US and also things to avoid. But no one can deny that they have the dominance over the years as the superpower.

India and China were once great nations. They may again hold that position in the coming decades ...

I do acknowledge the government's involvement in preferential treatment of particular areas and that they supply weapons and act as if they are not involved in some wars/areas.

However, the policies of our government and the heart of the Americans as a people are 2 different things especially since the current Administration doesn't reflect what most Americans want.

I do feel that many of us do not educate ourselves and are not aware of what all our government is doing throughout the world politically. And honestly, I'm thinking the government plays a huge role in not wanting us to know because I find out most things by traveling throughout the world not by staying home and turning on my television.

Well, all I can say is that I wish we'd quit being the "police force" for the rest of the world and demand that other countries' political ideologies and economies were run the same as ours, especially third world countries. What we need to do is bring all the Soldiers and Marines home from Iraq and send them down to the southwestern part of this once great nation to secure our borders from being overrun with illegal aliens from Mexico. But, I'm realistic enough to know that this will never happen. Bleeding heart Republicans.

You sound like another person who is REALLY REALLY AFRAID of Democracy! You feel better with maniacs and dictators repressing their people and enslaving women. What is wrong with YOUR position? Fortunately in the end you will get to worship your leader in Hell for eternity so that ought to make you happy.

Yes! Isn't it terrible?
Germany attacks Europe and Russia...TWICE! The U.S.A. Bails them out by fighting and defeating Germany... TWICE!. Then we spend our money to rebuild Germany.
The same for Japan!
If the spoils of war go to the victor, WHERE have we instituted imperialism?
YOU are an IDIOT who is STUPID enough to fall pray to the Anti-America HATE mongering LEFTISTS.
OR you are one more TRAITOR in our midst!

Actually, it's really only been about 50 years of imperialism -- much of the time prior to that the US was largely isolationist in its global policies.

And no, most Americans don't understand that just because we have bigger guns, that doesn't give us the right to order other countries to do only what we want them to do.

If that's the way you see it, I would have to say I'm all for it! So you're another mistaken idividual who thinks it's O.K. to kill innocent people? Can't wait until my imperialistic country kicks your country's a** (or have we already?).
