It is restricting their civil liberties. they think that if they get "married" or whatever anyone else wants to call it they should have the same rights has heterosexual couple which i think they should. I think its wrong to be homosexual but they do deserve the same rights as hetero sexual couples.

Had you not suggested same-sex couples are "out of their minds" because they want all the 1,100 rights afforded married couples, I might have given you a star for the question.

It's a civil rights issue, pure and simple. The threat to marriage is not from same-sex couples, but from heterosexual couples screwing up the institution. I mean, consider the divorce rate! Sham marriages in Virginia because it's pretty easy for a man and a woman to get married.

As for the children argument, plenty of same-sex couples are raising children, whether it's one person's child from a prior relationship, through adoption, or artificial insemination. And plenty of heterosexual couples can't have or don't want children, but nobody stops them from getting married.

They have the same rights as anyone else in this country in regards to marriaqge.
The problem is that they want special rights, and right now in this country, that just won't fly.
