The sum of the numbers divided by the number of numbers. So in this case, we have ((-14) + (-17) + (-20) + (-16) + (-13))/5 = -80/5 = -16

Mean = the average

Add them up and then divide by the number of integers there are:

-80/5 = -16 which is the mean.

The mean is the average.

The answer is -16.

Just add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there were.
