How many zeros are in a googolplex?

Well, if 10^2 = 100 There are two zeros. 10^5 = 100,000 has 5 zeros. OK, OK, that's obvious.

10^google = googleplex then there are a google of zeros.

A googol was defined as 10^100, which is a number larger than any countable amount in the universe, to my knowledge.

A googolplex is (10^10)^100, or 10^1000.

Why we have such numbers, I have no idea. It woud take an unimaginably large quantity of things to make up a googolplex.
