At best, the constitution is occasionally given a nod of respect.
Most often, the constitution is ignored and disregarded by any except the most conscientious members of the judiciary.
And far too often, it is trampled under foot, by some official who is too concerned about getting where they want to go, and refuses to even look down at what is beneath their feet.

I think that our Constitution has gone out the window and this is not what our forefathers had in mind.
It seems that once someone decides to change our beloved and once regarded Constitution for what ever purpose it's a terrible shame. Our dear forefathers had everyone in mind when it was written and it took a very long time for it to be written before it was finished and now whenever it goes against how someone feels just to hide the fact that they have committed a crime and they decide to change what ever part of the Consitution to suit them.
As I said, our beloved Consitution is not for everyone as it was meant to be.
I wish politicans would simply go about their business and leave well enough alone. What was best for everyone should still be in power for all now.
These are my thoughts and I may get blasted for it but it's how I see it.

It is sad and scary what is happening to our constitution. Since the patriot act and even before we have had numerous sections damaged severely. As a US citizen you can now be considered a enemy combatant and go to a camp without a trail for as long as they see fit. If you take pictures or video in downtown NY during any political event you can be arrested. If you wear an anti bush t shirt you can be arrested at these events.Habeas corpus has been suspended a very crucial right that should have made the AMerican people rise up in complete anger. It didnt we sat back and said habeas what? and went on to our ball games. We are in for a very rude awakening, our lack of compassion for others will have a blowback effect. There is only one man that is capable to help this nation and I am not too sure its not already too late, His name is Ron Paul. Google him , You Tube him, just make sure you receive his message and see his integrity and truth. You might be as I and never have voted before because they gave you no choice or the lesser of two evils. Well my friend our day has come. There is someone to vote for now to get us out of the depths of hell as a nation and return to the proud USA that we thought we were.

The Patriot Act and Homeland Security have done more to undermine the US Constitution than anyone or anything else. It's sad but, in a way, they're helping the terrorists win by taking away some of the things that made this country so wonderful.

Since Congress "CHOOSES" which laws under the constitution to uphold or follow, and Is seemingly failing In their duties to protect American Citizens from an ILLEGAL FOREIGN INVASION. And seems to be encouraging ILLEGAL ALIENS that use Forged or Bogus documents, and routinely steal AMERICANS identities to remain here,I would say that many of the people that have been elected to their office by THE PEOPLE of the United States, are In fact traitors to these very people and to our CONSTITUTION,that Is routinely trampled by the very people sworn to uphold our laws... Its time for a BIG CHANGE In 2008.
