Doubtful. Bush is a whore who was purchased for by corporate America long before he became president. He knows he couldn't bite the hand that fed him so he was doomed to FcK the American people one way or the other.

Seems like he put his core beliefs before the country and thought it more important to protect the Holy Land instead of America

He could have been a good president if he had done two things -- respected the rule of law and the balance (and separation) of powers -- and been willing to admit when he made a mistake, and to change his plans when he got new information.
I don't even think he would have needed to change his core beliefs -- unless the unitary (dictatorial) executive model and a refusal to admit mistakes are part of his core beliefs.

I think so, but then again, any president could just change his core beliefs and almost magically become a better politician. That's a lot to ask, but it's not a bad idea....

Your question implies Bush isn't a good president. Some of us are not entirely thrilled with everything he's done but are grateful at any rate because it "coulda" been worse (i.e. Gore or Kerry)!

Only if he could get over the notion that he is god and what he says is right. I have never known him to even discuss another avenue to go, if he had already said what he was going to do. He is so arrogant! So the answer is NO NO

No criticism of him from the looney left is valid when they supported and still support the Clintons. Bill Clinton was so much worse than Bush that you leftnut screwballs don't have a leg to stand on to even begin to criticize Bush.
Talk about criminal regimes, the Clinton regime was it.

Naw they got to him long before he was Gov. of Texas.
He won't invest in stem-cell research but has no problem executing retarded prisoners. He is not a "Uniter". He is not the "Decider". He is a War Monger.

I doubt it. He is too stupid to formulate rational and positive core beliefs and we all know now that he continues to act to protect his core beliefs long after they have been proven wrong.
