Currently, i have a xbox 360 in my upstairs room as well as a laptop. the laptop uses a built in card for my network. i also have a an endless supply of ethernet cables (some very long) and an extra unused linksis router. My internet connection, which is verizon fios, is connected to my two parallel computers downstairs. We send the internat around with a d-link router. Internet upsatirs is only available wirelessly. I am not going to bring my setup downstairs. Knowing this... How can i setup my 360 to live with using the things i have? or using things cheaper than the network adaptor xbox want u 2 buy. thanks guys/girls

OK,

1) connect a ethernet cable from your laptop to the extra linksys router. (Not Internet Port)
2) Turn off the wireless in the linksys router.
3) Enable internet sharing on the laptop.
4) connect a ethernet cable from the xbox to the linksys router. (Not Internet Port)

Now your xbox should have a internet connection, but it might be a bit slow as you are going through a proxy server on your laptop then through a wireless connection to yor router.
