"Do not disconnect"

on the ipod screen, and it was like that for and hour or so
so i unpluged it, and nothing is happening

how do i fix it so the "do not disconnect" sign will go away, and i can load songs back on to it

Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Good luck. Hope this works for you.

My ipod always says "Do not disconnect while it's charging. When you're done charging your ipod, click on the ipod icon on the right bottom of your screen where the clock is and wait a few seconds. Then disconnect it. That message is always there.

if you have not updated your ipod yet, it will do this. if you get the newest update for ipod, it should not anymore. Do this by plugging in your ipod, then clicking check for updates.
Even if you don't do this, the do not disconnect screen will not affect the ipod, as long as it is not in the middle of transferring a song or other data. You can see it it is updating at the top of the screen, where it says what is playing.
