Phil Nixon (who almost won the world darts title at the start of this year). Alan White (drummer with Yes) lived in my home town. Also Eric Gates (ex footballer and one of the 3 legends) was born here. Alan Shearer used to live close by (about 10 miles away). Vic Reeves came from Darlington. (12 miles away). Punk band Penetration also came from my home town. 70's Sunderland footballer Stan Cummins came from here also, think he still lives here, he used to knock about with my brother when they were kids. Then if you go slightly further north there's Sting, Bryan Ferry, Jimmy Nail, Tim Healey, Jake Burns (singer with Stiff Little Fingers). God it's bloody great here!!

from Indiana, we have... Axl Rose, Larry Bird, Michael Jackson, David Letterman, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., James Dean, Jim Gaffigan, John Mellencamp, Greg Oden, Jim Jones, Jimmy Hoffa, and Cole Porter. Nobody from my town specifically, though.
