An expression to another ..that you LOVE to be with them, a likeness to this person. So take this.. I might love my g'friend, I love her to pieces and would do anything for her. But as far as IN LOVE with her no. THere is a difference in that meaning, I love my friend, I love my cat.. but I am NOT in love with them. THat's where it takes a turn. You have to be IN LOVE with that person to feel that inner love DR.. LOVE. That's my take on the word love.
