Find these two answers.
Find the area of the rectangle with the given dimensions.

#1~L=14 inches, W=2 inches
#2~L=6 feet, W=5 feet

Just multiply length times width and use square units:
#1 14x2 = 28 square inches
#2 6x5 = 30 square feet

1.) A= L x W
A= 14 x 2
A= 28 inches squared
2.) A= L x W
A= 6 x 5
A= 30 inches squared

#1= 14 x 2 = 28 inches squared
#2 = 6 ft x 5 feet= 30 feet squared

all you do is take the length and multiply it by the width

How can you not know that?

Just multiply length x width.
