No. A MP will possibly try to do their best for a year or so, then get caught up in the power and corruption of politics and succumb to it. They will end up looking out for themselves and forget about the real issues.

Not a cat in hells chance. Have a friend who entered local politics, salt of the earth, really genuine guy. he was full of principles at first.
Within 2 years he had been brainwashed by the party and became a puppet at their beck and call, and that was at town council level. God knows the level of alleged corruption at Westminster.
