Ppl keep calling me spoiled cuz I got a brand new car and they didnt.

It depends on what kind of person you are. If you rub it in their face you got a new car then they will hate you. Also, this could be bad for you if in the future you have a few lean years financially and have to get a used car that is not as good. You might have thoughts of failure, shame, or suicide if you realize you had a better car when you were a teenager than when you were an adult.
But, if you are cool with your friends and are not totally superficial I see no problem.

Personally I think it was grossly irresponsible of your parents. An Acura is a luxury brand that most people work hard to afford. They just hand it to you on a plate as a first car? Nearly $40,000 worth of SUV. Keep in mind the average income for an American family is $46,000, per year. That's before tax and deductions.
Any sensible parent would buy a 16 year old a cheaper car worth no more than $20,000. Let the kid have their inevitable knocks and scrapes. Maybe after college, something better.
I really hope your parents didn't spoil you, because it will come back to haunt you later in life.

look, the way i see it, there is absolutely nothing wrong getting a brand new $30+ car at any age. there is a difference between an ability to afford and being spoiled. if you can afford a car like that, go for it. being spoiled is if you get something that you dont need; for example, getting two cars. but getting a Car is needed, its just the price thats all. i got myself a new loaded TSX as my first car.

There is no right or wrong about it, If your parents can afford a new Acura that's cool. If they can afford a new BMW even better. I don't think AMY 16 YO needs a "NEW" car so yes I think your spoiled, but enjoy it while you can. And NO speeding ticket until you 18 ,,,,,,,

If your family can afford and thye are ready to get you one... i donno y you will be spoiled kid... but you should not be arrogant and careless... you should know how hard it is to buy a brand new car at this age.... it is okay as long as you can appreciate you parents for that and think you are blessed... what difference does it make if you buy a honda, acura or lexus... the difference it makes is the money and hte amount your parents can spend on a car for you... so ask them if they are good to get you an acura... if they are positive i think you should get htat: ;)

it all depends on how hard you worked to get it...i mean if you've never had a job and you dont know what work ethic is, thats what your young age is for...get a shitty job, struggle through your first few years of college, it makes you a better person in the long run because you werent just handed something, you worked for it yourself, noone gave it to you, it was yours because you bought it. personally i wouldnt say youre spoiled, but i definitely wouldnt want to have your parents, bc if i had my first car purchased for me, i wouldnt be who i am today. I know what its like to want things that i cant have, and thats life...youre going to want to do things that you just cant do, so them buying you a car is just diluting your sense of reality. life isnt really like that, you cant just magically have a 40,000 dollar car given to you and what happens when your parents wont buy you something else? it all boils down to how muc you take it for granted, and how much youre willing to work to keep the things you have.

yea i got a friend dat his da bought him a 2006 scion tC
he's a guy so all of us guys call him a spoiled *****, but only because when he gives us a ride or when he passes our skewl, he drives like 100 miles per hr, trying to brag to the girls. but ur a girl and i dont see a problem with that.

i got a mercedes when i was 15 and UGH i feel you, i hate it when people say i'm spoiled. it's not wrong, it's good that you got a safe and reliable car, think of it that way. basically anyone who calls you spoiled is just jealous. EVERYONE says that to me. doesn't it suck? oh well. i would get lambo doors on it. and they can suck it. hahaha. :]

Jealously gets the best of people, a lot. Don't mind them at all. If you let it bother you, they win by calling you spoiled.

only if you make it a point to brag about it. it is nice your parents or whoever can afford to get you such a nice vehicle. my parents could afford to get me one also but made me get a job and pay at least the insurance on it. be careful and drive safe.
