LOL ... I just asked YOU that question. I have my theories, but that is not really what you should write about. Who do YOU think he is? Why is he always in the library during the parties? Why is he at the funeral? He is probably my favorite character in the story because Fitzgerald chose to make him mysterious and because he is thought provoking. Here is a great big hint ... Is it possible he is Fitzgerald's alter-ego? Is Fitzgerald watching his own story take place? Interesting idea, huh? Interesting idea for any author to place themselves within the confines of a novel - as a casual observer. How about it? Pax - C
