Mount Renaissance in Oregon House, California in the winter time. Most years it rises above a blanket of fog which extends up the Sacramento Valley all the way to the mountain just north of San Francisco. The effect is that the fog appears to be the ocean and the vineyard on Mount Renaissance (private property) a celestial island much like some Himalayan peak surrounded my clouds with a view from the top or a Japanese Island also surrounded by fog. Personally this was even better because at the time there was a prediction that this place would be the only in California to survive the cataclysmic Fall into the Pacific. It seemed like a confirmation and made my experience extremely special.
Cheers!

I've seen too many beautiful places, It's absolutely impossible to pick out the prettiest one. So I'll put my hand in the bowl and pick one out that way......The mountain roads of New England in the fall. Breathtakingly beautiful!!!!
