I am changing to a D Link which is faster and has better range.
When I put in the D Link install cd I got a error that says if I am installing behind another router I need to change that routers IP address but it did not tell me how to do that which is what I need to know how to do. I was using a Linksys router. Any info on how to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

I am currently using Linksys router model WRT54G and I want to switch to D Link model WBR-2310. Can I delete the Linksys from the system is what I would like to do. I did not see it in the add/remove programs list so how do I delete it from my system?

The best thing to do is get the Linksys out of there and just install the d-link. The speed of the network will be determined by your slowest component. So if you leave the slow linksys in your netwrok speed will not improve.

What model Linksys and what model d-link are you using? You should really not need to change the IP addressd on the router.
