No, on the contrary. It opens some avenues of investigation in regard to compactified multidimensional spaces that might lead to explanations for the BB. Only 4 of 11 dimensions expanded due to the BB, for example. Understanding why leads to questions that could not have even been posed prior to String Theory. No answers yet, though.

Assuming you want to know about string theory vs big bang. No it doesn't really - all it does is shift viewpoints.
One recent theory of the Big Bang is it occured when two multi dimensional Branes collided this theory is an off shoot of String theory.

No, the string theory is a whole way of looking at matter and energy, it is in it's infantsy and has many detractors.
