I am not a girl, but I think that most girls expect the guy to offer to pay on the first date.

Yes of course I don't have any thing against helping to pay but first date should be the treat of the one asking.

If I was single now, no I would not expect that. Back in the sixties when I was dating, I did. Times have changed.
