Why does the liberal media stick to lies/false reporting or better yet, SELECTIVE reporting?
"Analysis: Bush Unwelcome on the Trail
By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer"
Do they not realize that people with brains can read between the hazy "reporting," that they try to cram down our throats?!
Anyone with half a brain knows that all presidential candidates need to try to make it on their own and not fall back on the current president.

A. the liberal media will do or say anything they can (legally, of course) to help other liberals. case in point: bush pardons 75 people, huge media uproar. clinton pardons 146 total people (double bush), no mention

B. your argument assumes people think for themselves. most don't (hell, some can't). they get all their information from the news, which, as we know, is very liberal-biased

First of all, the story is titled "analysis." It is not reporting of facts, it is interpretation of facts. That makes a big difference. You have to be aware of the context of a story right off the bat, and the first word in the title does that.

Second, the treatment of an outgoing President is always interesting. Think Republicans in general (Senate, Congress) wanted Ronald Reagan with them in 1988? You bet they did. George Bush was a little concerned with trying to be his own man that year, but he didn't mind when Reagan gave a very supportive speech at the convention. Bill Clinton was spotted by the Democrats in 2000, as he turned up in certain areas (urban speeches, etc.) but wasn't used in others. There was still some carryover from his impeachment.

Bush has very low approval ratings, mostly over Iraq. If Republicans aren't asking him to come out and campaign in general, it's interesting. And it will get more interesting as the field narrows. Will a Republican nominee have Bush come out on the campaign trail?

All media stick to "selective reporting."
No media provider is immune to the influences of business and profit when deciding which selected reports will increase profits. Think about that moment when you choose a newspaper from the rack. Are you drawn to the most interesting picture... the catchy headline? A favorite publication?
The placement of the thing that influenced your decision is "selective" reporting. The ones that "select" best make more money through increased circulation and advertising. The ones that select poorly cease to exist.

You seem intelligent. What you need to realize is that many people are not. (or choose not to use their intelligence) For proof, just read through the questions you see on this site. How many have incorrect spelling, punctuation, and grammar? These are the things you learn in the lower grades where there is more attendance. Ignorance is rampant these days.
