Recently replaced the hose that connects from the dryer to the vent. Now it's not drying the clothes.

I have the feeling it is broken. Try going to home depot.

If you have gone through three dryers you probably have a problem with the vent. It is blocked, kinked or simply too long of a run. All three will lead to inefficient performance of any dryer. A less common possibility is the electrical wiring. Some dryers use one leg of the 220 circuit for the drum and the other leg for the heating element. If the double breaker is bad or there is an open in one leg of the circuit the dryer won't heat. The possibility of there being just a bad element is pretty well ruled out if three units all act the same.

You may have kinked the hose when you pushed the dryer back into position after changing the hose. Or the hose is plugged. It might be that you broke loose a large enough ball of lint to plug the hose. Also, check that the vent on the outside of the house has not become plugged.

You might have to disconnect the hose and check the dryer to see if there's lint stuck in the hose connection, or elsewhere in the dryer. When we moved, and changed hoses, I found a ton of lint and dust all up in through the dryer. Cleaned everything thoroughly, attached a new hose, and it's working almost brand new! Good luck!

I dont think its the element because your partially drying the clothes, it sound like the vent is kinked, blocked or possibly the outside hinged door is jammed.

Pull the duct off the back of the dryer and turn it on for a few minutes and see if the air is coming out strong and hot and if so then your problem is with the duct. If not - the problem is with the dryer. Go to http://appliancequickfix.com/BTB.html
to get a very easy overview of what to check.

Its either a build up of lint or you blew the heating element.
