we should all take responsibility for our actions. We feed our children, so we should be responsible for what we do put in their mouths.

No. For too long people have abdicated their personal responsibility for "they made me do it!".
Smokers of years ago have a case - they were lied to about the possible effects of smoking. Anyone who takes it up now, with all the warnings on every packet, knows what the are in for.
Same with obesity. We know that fast food is no good in quantity, and if we as parents are too lazy to feed our children better, then that's OUR fault.
If we are too lazy to get our kids away from video games, the television and the computer, because at least they are quiet and out of our hair, then that's OUR fault.
If we are too lazy to be firm with our children and tell them that they can't have everything they see on television, then that's OUR fault.
Its time to stop abdicating our responsibility as parents and step up to the mark and say "We made the choice to have these children, and now its up to us to say, WE have to do the very best we can for them".

No! Blame the lazy parents for allowing their children to shovel crap into their faces all day. Here's an idea folks: Make 'em put down the xbox controller and get outside once in a while. I actually know kids who have never even swung a baseball bat. Sad.

No, how about being your childs parent, and not their buddy. Fast food restaurants sell their toys without the food. They will thank you when they're older and living it up on the beach while their fat friends sit at home too embarassed to go out.
