My brother(Hispanic) had a baby with a black female, and my mom is all pissed of saying, "instead of helping the race, he's ruining it", she says she doesn't car for the girlfriend or the baby, i told her she needs to grow up, and gets mad at me, and calls me a bad son. My mom is not always this stupid, how do I explain to her, that she should love this child???

She needs to realize that SHE is ruining the race by holding on to biased stereotypes. I'm sure she would not like to be judged that way. Unfortunately, You can not force her to feel this way. I hope she comes to the realization that this child is still of her blood. Maybe she will come around. Sometimes it's just the shock.

Immature ? Probably..... but I also think there is disappointment there too. Each parent pictures the child growing up, getting married and having babies. Families rarely expect the grandkids to be anything other than what they are...no matter what race they are. It just takes adjusting and acceptance. I hope your brother does whats right for his child. And as your mom accepts the situation in time, her love for the child will also grow.

Well your mom is racist. She called you a bad son, because your opinion differed from hers. That's not right. If I were you I would just forget about your mother. Well see if your a kid like 12-16 I wouldn't suggest talking back to your mother. If you ar 18 or older I would tell her she needs to shut up and stop being a bitc*

sometimes older people don't see things as younger people do .. you have two choices .. let your mother have her say and then forget it .. or stand by for a long battle convincing her that the world is becoming a "melting pot" and in the not too distant future we'll all be coffee coloured
