Their plan is the same as usual.
Let Democrats take office to balance the budget.
Then spin things and try to somehow take credit for it.

Serious Answer? OK
Make more, spend less.
Cons believe lowering taxes stimulates the economy and raises overall revenues. This strategy has worked for Presidents Kennedy, Reagan & Bush 2.
What the Cons aren't getting however is spending cuts.
Most believe the Iraq war is, in the long run, cheaper than Radical Islam or Megalomaniacs running the Middle East, but they woud like it run more effciently.
Cons want Social Security to be an actual retirement fund, not the young paying for the old. (aka privatization)
Cons want tax dollars spent on infrastructure to promote business, to promote job creation, to promote prosperity.
They hate wealth transfer programs, which they see as rewarding people for having bad judgement.
They hate paying top dollar for education and getting mediocre math and literacy.
They hate paying for wider freeways and getting underutilized public rail.
And they really hate paying for healthcare, welfare, education & incarseration of illegal aliens.
So to recap, they like Bush's tax cuts, which has increased Government revenue, but they're a bit pissed he hasn't vetoed any social spending. No School vouchers, No Privatized Social Security, No border security, Free drugs for the old folks, etc.
What can one say? Better than the Dems, but it's not like Goldwater ain't spinning in his grave.

The way that all people should want it lowered.....reduce federal spending. Keep in mind, that by reducing taxes, the federal tax revenue goes up. With low taxes people are willing to risk their money. When more people risk their money on investments, the amount of money that is able to be taxed increases dramatically. This why the federal tax revenue has more than doubled in the past five years. The reason the deficit has increased is due to increased spending, by both parties, not reduced taxes. Like it or not, the reason that the Republicans were ousted from power last year was due to them spending like drunken Democrats, not the war in Iraq.
The Republicans acted like Democrats in that they thought their base would allow them to buy their continued leadership.
While this is THE way that Democrats get their base, the Republican base won't put up with this for very long.

Their plan is simple.
Don't do a thing.
Then let the Democrats solve the problem with tax increases.
Then blame the Democrats for raising taxes to pay down Bush's debts.
And no, federal debt is as evil as it is in the private sector. It's never a good thing in such insane proportion.

Honestly, does any party have a solid answer? We spend so much money on other countries problems etc, that I don't see how we can eliminate our debt. Democrat or Repulican, no one yet has a solid answer or plan.
(I must say if you wanted an honest answer that you would have mentioned both parties, not just the republicans)

If you look at the revenue taken in by the treasury over the last couple of years, it has increased. This is because of tax cuts for the filthy rich, who are the ones WHO KEEP US EMPLOYED!!

Its posted all the time on here. Debt is a good thing. Thats what the neocons are all about. You really cant have too much of it. I think the current plan is to make as much as possible. But dont make any for things like child health care thats irresponsible.
