I am a Virgo female dating a Capricorn male. I am the first Virgo he has dated. From what he has told me, he has felt in love with Pisces, but the relationships ended badly. His ex-wife was a Pisces and he is still enraged by her after all these years.
What I have found that Capricorns like is someone who has attributes, meaning characteristics, that they don't necessarily possess.

Well, I'm a Capricorn Sun, had two Capricorn relationships that produced children, was with another Capricorn and with one now.
I have also been with a Libra, Leo, Aires, Aquarius.
I did not 'choose' the Capricorns by their sign, it just worked out that way.
Matching Sun signs is not an accurate way of determining who is a compatible partner. There are a whole bunch more placements on the chart to look at that are more focused on those areas of life and soul.
