well.. i can remember when i was small and i had a power wheel jeep i thought to my self after everytime my dad modified it, "could it go faster, so fast that i can race to be the first one on the streets" (of course at that time i thought that all cars were on the streets just for the hell of being on the street, dumbass!)

p.s. here are the "i wish i could have my hands on that" pics:

Being completely carefree was pretty sweet. I loved summertime on the block with all the other kids. Playing hide-n-go-seek; climbing trees. Summertime in Maine. Running after the ice cream man. there is no ice cream man on my street anymore :( Talking with my toys/dolls without looking like a complete weirdo. Riding my bike around the block or up and down the street. Walking to McDonald's and playing in the Playpen thing. Walking to the "corner store" and getting SnoBalls. or Squeezits. Piggyback rides. Sitting on someone's shoulders. The list goes on and on. My childhood is comprised almost solely of fond memories.

Yes, and sometimes an old song or a specific smell takes me back to a childhood memory

Lots. I'm not sure all of them happened though. I spent years making up stories in my head and sometimes get confused. I have bittersweet memories of my childhood, it wasn't always happy but I feel sad that it's over, that I can never know my child self again.

I love the memory of going on vacations up to northern Wisconsin each summer with my grandparents, fishing on a lake, renting cabins up there and being able to fish and swim, etc.

Then when my own father would have his vacation from work, we would also go to the same lake in northern Wisconsin and we would also rent a cabin and go fishing and swiming, etc. It was such fun being able to row the boat across the lake, to catch sunfish, crappies, etc. and to swim.

I loved those summers at that lake.
