Astrology is the ancient art of divination and prophecy based on the relative positions of the sun, moon, stars, and planets. It is mystical nonsense and today, nothing more than tabloid entertainment and in some cases, a craft of deception for bilking the gullible out of their money.
At one time in history, before the evolution of modern science, astrologers were assiduous students of the heavens and provided some very accurate star maps and also learned much about the movements of these celestial bodies. In that respect, it may have given the appearance of what we would call science, but the notion of using this information to determine personalities or make predictions about human matters is pure superstition.

Astrology is a pseudo-science, only masquerading as science. Its premises are wildly absurd and based on primitive "sympathetic magic" which makes makes several whoppers of assumptions. First, that people can have the characteristics of animals or other things simply by being associated with them; second, that constellations are real when in fact stars that seem to be associated are scattered throughout three-dimensional space and are usually hundreds of light years apart: the patterns that we see are only projections from the point of view of earth; third, that these random star patterns look like earthly creatures or objects; and fourth, that somehow these bad connect-the-dots drawings which only vaguely at best look like anything on earth actually influence individual humans on earth who are microscopic by comparison!
The same reasoning applies to the sun and other planets even though they are much closer to us: it's still sympathetic magic (emphasis on the last three syllables). The only possible physical influence would be gravity, but if you know the first thing about the inverse square law you would also know that the gravitational influence of the moon, for example, is overwhelmed by that of the person standing next to you - and how do you suppose gravity could affect personality in the first place?!
If you still believe astrology is true after reading and understanding this, you are either beyond hope or you know a girl or two who gets very affectionate with guys who are 'open-minded' (ugh!) about it!

Astrology is fortune telling. Some fortune tellers use the pattern of lines on your hand or the pattern of tea leaves in your cup, but astrology uses the positions of the planets in the sky.
Astronomy is different. It is basically geography of the sky.

Astrology is a set of myths and non-scientific concepts with no basis in fact, dealing with the completely erroneous belief that distant stars and planets can influence the daily lives of humans on planet Earth.
If you just want one or two words:
- fairy tales
- inaccurate
- non-scientific
- pseudo-religion

Astronomy is a real science.
Astrology is what someone dreamed up to bilk people out of thier hard earned money telling them things that they want to hear and making them pay for the delivery of the pretty words.
Astrology is foolish and worthless.
