Most companies now make an Intermediate size stick/shaft. They were designed for the kids who were too tall for the juniors and not quite big enough for the Sr. sticks. It is personal prefferance on which one is better. The thinner the shaft the more flex you could possibly get. The problem with the Sr. sticks (thicker shafts) is if you have to cut them down they flex goes way up.

A thinner shaft is more 'whippy' and you can get a harder shot. A thicker shaft is more stiff and you get better control. Its a matter of personal preference.

As for the rest of you, get your mind out of the gutter. tsk tsk

It doesn't matter about the size of the shaft, it is how you use it.
