Not everyone thinks yahoo answers is better then watching tv, and not everyone watches tv. It just all depends on the persons and what they are into. Everyone likes something different. If we all liked the same thing, then well we all would be alike. and that would be really really boring . Then again some may like both, and some may like neither. And you have people that don't even use Yahoo. Or have a computor or laptop.

Better for what? What purpose? In what way?

They are different.

It also would depend (once you've hammered down the purpose) on what you do with each.

For example, if you're talking about intellectual stimulation, then, a really informative or enlightening TV show or series would be more valuable than posing a lot of sludge on this site.

On the other hand, if you're comparing mind candy to answering challenging questions, then the later is more.

But if you're talking about entertainment, they both do both.

Am watching TV as it happens as well, but this is kindof addictive especially as there's new stuff coming through all the time.

As long as you remember that the people on here are very real with genuine problems, vs the ones on the TV who aren't, then it's also quite nice just to be able to do something that might help.

It's not really better than tv it's just a good passtime when there's nothing on tv. The only way it would be better is if most of the questions that were asked on here made sense. And if people would actually give useful answers instead dumb remarks.

You can do both at the same time! Do Yahoo! Answer during commercials of your favourite shows, unless it's reality tv, then you can just have the tv on for background noises:)

I'm with them. I'm watching TV while doing it. Right now I am watching the First 48 Hours on A&E.

At least on yahoo your mind is not in a coma like when engaged in a t.v. show. Watching t.v. is like a doormat zombie.........with mouth hung open --- ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

On yahoo one is busy reading , thinking, laughing, typing and at least pushing many many buttons unlike a remote. And, on yahoo one might learn something about PEOPLE.

It's not, I like to combine both. I answer questions while watching TV.

(For me--that's not always the case--depends upon what's on TV).

Other than that, Y! Answers is better because of interaction with people--seeing creativity, style, opinions, facts, humor---I could do without the 'bashers', though.
