I wanted to add that I deeply love and care for this guy. He is really mature , very passionate, intelligent, and he cares a lot about me. Even if our relationship was illegal i wouldn't leave him for anything.

According to the web, the age of consent in Mass. is 16, as a law making the legal age of consent of 18 was struck down by the court as being too vague. This means that the 18 year restriction is invalid and cannot be enforced, so the effective age of consent is 16. This of course can change with any new law passed. You and your b/f should be fine, but if you are really worried about it I would talk to a lawyer, as they are the only ones who can tell you for sure.

Most states have age of consent laws. This means that if a person is past the age of consent, they can enter into a sexual relationship and it will not be felony rape. Still, if the relationship is between an adult and a minor, the adult can still face misdemeanor charges if someone reports a sexual relationship.

Technically, sexual activity would be illegal because he is a minor. Of course, there's no guarantee that anyone would find out. It sounds like your boyfriend cares about you and probably wouldn't say anything; however, if his parents or someone else found out, they could prosecute you. I would be very careful...I know it's annoying, but cases like this have happened before. Good luck!

If his parents have a problem with this relationship, they can cause you many problems. A sexual relationship could also get you into court.
