As in when you ring to find something out you get passed from one person to another and have to repeat yourself over and over until you want to slam the phone down.

I have had the same frusteration. But that's the lesser evil of having to keep pressing through the options menus for those damned automated voices! Gawd sometimes those in itself can take 20 minutes!

I think these people all sit in a circle around 1 desk with just 1 phone and when 1 of them is talking, the others are just crying with laughter.
That's why you get put on hold for so long, so the next guy has time to compose his/herself before talking to you.
Well, that's what we do in our office anyway ;-)

I'd ask what you wanted..I'd try to help..but if I couldn't I'd pass the buck to the person who I thought could help you the most.

when i at work, i can't hear the phone ring!!!! i will check caller id later and call back to people who i think they are important to me...others or strangers...just let them hang themselves in the sky!!!!
