Okay R+14 equals 39, I figured that much out. But whats the value of R in the equation?

Yes I suck at math, yes my brain rejects it. Please help. Thanks in advance!

If you multiply or divide then you must do it to all terms on both sides of the equasion. Or you can simply add or substract a value from both sides of the equasion.

This is common sense, because you have a equals sign, then you can not perform an operation on one side of equals and maintain equality, therefore you must do the same to both sides.

R + 14 = 39
R + 14 - 14 = 39 - 14
R = 25
Notice how 14 was subtracted from both sides of the equasion, by common sense.

Terms in equasions are ENTIRELY separated by addition signs and subtraction signs, or stand alone.

If R + 14 = 39 Then move 14 to the right, you'll get:
R = 39 - 14 = 25

R+14=39
R=39-14 (move 14 from left side to right side.. if left side is
+ve number, then for right side must be -ve
number)
R=25
