There are the most amazing box fans and upright fans available today; they do a great job of cooling you off...I live in Florida, and trust me, they work!

Keep blinds,drapes, curtain shut to block the sun, if the outside temp and humidity is high keep doors and windows shut,use a fan to circulate the air.

Stay hydrated. This requires drinking water.
Keep your windows open, unless you are away from home.
Get an inexpensive fan.
Get your air conditioner fixed.

fans and drink alot of ice cold water keep a damp cold cloth on the back of your neck

Also, you can probably find a cheap window AC at this time of year.

You'd be *AMAZED* what a long cool bath can do to lower body temperature! :D I do it all the time in the summer. :)
