what is a binary system??

I dont get what i a binary system i have to reasearch it but i can't find helpful sites. I'm talking bout the binary system dealing with space not the one with math. so please help Thankz

Please clarify. If you are talking about the binary system with "space" but "not the one with math," why did you pose this in the mathematics section?
