Actually he's trying to start to go by "Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson", which is stupid. The name "The Rock" is how he got famous in the first place! And it's not like Dwayne Johnson rolls off the tongue very nicely.

He will alwways be known as The Rock. I think he's trying to get rid of "The Rock" moniker and go by his real name of Dwayne Johnson. Which explains why he suddenly has Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on his recent movies he's made. The Rock is his wrestling name. since he's no longer in wrestling he wants to use his real name.

The moniker "Rock" is what made him famous. When people see him they dont say hey theres dwayne, its like look its the rock.
