Unless I remember a different flick, I thought that was commodities, or futures, markets--and yes, while computers are taking over trading the trading pits can be wild. As I recall, they had real traders on that flick, so while it was a spoof, they had the 'real McCoy's going through the motions.

That's probably why a floor traders career ends around the late 40's....too much stress.
