Do people elected with the help and support of a Party represent the people who elected them or the Party that keeps them in office? Do they toe the Party line out of political necessity or are the representative of the people back home?

RobertJ - there is no official two party system....there's nothing in the Consitution about them....there no legal basis for their having the power and influence over the election process they have....why should a party affiliation be part the registration process.... even to say you're an Ind.? Why should someone's Party affiliation be on the ballot?
