When thier republican congress grew government larger than ever and the Dems have held pretty good to thier promise. Citizens Against Government Waste, in its annual "Congressional Pig Book," released this week, reports $13.2 billion in pork-barrel spending for the current fiscal year, down from $29 billion in 2006

because that's all they really have I guess. I mean they sure don't want to talk about the over a half a trillion dollars spent in Iraq. nor do they want to talk about all the Republican pet projects that passed through congress the past 6 years of Republican control.
What really can they talk about the tax cuts they gave to the Rich ?
maybe they can brag up the bill they passed a few years ago making it much harder for "people" to file bankruptcy
while at the same time not changing the rules for big business. Now we are seeing record for closers.
no Republicans don't have much to say do they ?

"Cons" as you put it do not like the deficit any more than anyone else. We simply understand the need for it. We "whine" as you put it because we do not want unnecessary spending added to the already necessary debt we already have. If you can afford to buy a home and you do so, but it takes most of your disposable income to pay the mortgage, Then you do not also go out and buy a car that you can't afford.

Republicans did the excessive spending. Not conservatives. Democrats are in control of Congress. The total expenditures by the US for the next physical year will be the highest ever.

This war costs more than anything the liberals spend. "Free'' health care will cost nowhere near the amount of money the war has cost.

Yet how many hundreds of billions will the liberal "Free Healthcare" program cost? You haven't even scratched the surface of proposed Liberal Spending.

You're right, and that's why we spanked them. Now we're going to spank the dems because they think that they have to one-up the Republicans who were acting like dems.
