okay. so i hope i'm writing in the right category for this. energy healing.. somebody please help me out or give me some web site that i can get info about it. my mother found out about some energy healer person. he doesn't even touch his patients, just puts his hands out and makes motions around their body while they're laying down. he puts on weird musc and has this room with like crosses and sacred paintings. he also has like a little alter set up in there. people that go i there always tell of getting this hot weird feeling when the "healer's" hands are out and they become sort of week.

this guy claims he can cure you of anything you have. but you have to come to him every week. he says he'll heal you from becoming deaf, vision, cancer, diabetes, & even giving you some extra strength, etc. my mother is trying to drag my whole family down there like we have freakin problems or something. who believes in this? how does it work? HOW? help me out.

Like Soul's Teacher, I am also a LMT and Reiki master. I also do other forms of energy healing. I basically mimic everything she says. lol The red flag is that he's claiming that he can cure you of anything. It's true that energy healing can help you, but it does not "cure" you. We are almost like booster shots. We aid the body in giving them healing energy so that the body can heal itself. Some medicines do the same.
Again, if the person is not open to healing or has no desire to heal themselves, it will not take effect. That's not any different than the saying that you can help those that don't want help. You can't heal those that don't want healing. For whatever reason that is. If you have some other questions, don't be shy about dropping me a line. I only bite if it's for therapeutic purposes. :)

Hi - I am a licensed massage therapist in Florida and a Reiki Master / Teacher for over 10 years. I have a website that describes Reiki - energy healing. You may find out some answers to your questions.

Though I do have to say it is very unethical for anyone to claim that they can heal some one from problems, actually against the law in many states - crosses the lines of medical licensing. What a healer is - is a person that channels the energy through to be used in order for the person receiving it to heal at the level that they need be. It can be on a relaxation level, emotional, physical or spiritual level. Never is the person channeling the energy can ever say what will or can happen. That is up to the person receiving the energy and also Divine and no one else. Never should anyone claim to have healed someone or even advertise or tell others that they can do. What state is this in? I do believe in energy work and other forms of healing. Because I do it in my practice - that I am licensed for in the state of Florida. The hot hands are considered healers hands. It is a person that can channel healing energy.

Visit my website it will explain more.

But the only thing that he concerns me is professing to be able to cure things - that is against the law in many states - only MD doctors can do that - even if they can not cure things.

Nothing like a question about healing energy to get the mainstreamers to pounce! Personally I doubt that the energy healing is going to help the trees, but then I don't understand healing energy as well as I would like. I certainly do not totally discount healing energy and note that it has been used by man for thousands of years. Those who worship the false gods of science are quick to say that healing energy is not valid because it is not scientifically measurable. But not scientifically measureable today does not mean it does not exist. A great fallacy of the science believers who like to quote mainstream controlled and apologist sites is that they make the false assumption man has always made - that today's science is the pinnacle of knowledge and understanding, when history has taught us time and again that the science of today is usually outmoded in years to come. At one point, it was believed that the atom was the smallest particle into which matter could be divided because nothing else could be seen or measured. Then along came protons, neutrons and electrons and they were believe to be the only and smallest parts of matter. And that too turned out to be false. Likewise, at one time the prevaling "science" or wisdom held that the earth was flat and that the earth was the center of the universe which all things revolved around - and those who dared say otherwise were persecuted as the "woo" sellers and heretics of their day. I am certain that someday man will look back on the barbaric and failed methods in the war against cancer - where the best "science" has to offer is trying to cut out, burn out and/or poison out the mere symptoms of cancer without treating the actual cause of the cancer and truly curing it - as the dark ages of medicine. But those who suggest alternatives that are often more successful and much less dangerous are called the "woo" sellers of today. Science has not become God, nor has it replace or surpassed God and nature, neither or which are quacks or ever have been - while what is considered science in one age often is revealed as quackery in another. Just because we do not understand or cannot measure something according to today's limited scientific knowledge does not mean it is not valid.

This is called Medical QiGong. Qi is a Chinese medicine term for life force and circulation. You can generate Qi in yourself if you practice QiGong. Look for classes near you. Once you learn to generate Qi within yourself, you can also radiate this energy. The sensation of Qi flowing can feel like warmth, coolness, or a tingling sensation. A practitioner of Medical QiGong has learned to generate and focus this energy that he/she radiates.

In China, they have QiGong clinics where people go to cure cancer. The patient does not need to know QiGong. The patient will be in a room where a group of people are doing QiGong and radiating the healing energy. The tumors will shrink with repeated treatments. The patient will also learn to practice QiGong exercises themselves.

If you learn to practice QiGong yourself, you will learn to balance your blood pressure, regulate your metabolism, resonate your organs, and slow your breathing (works like self-internal massage). QiGong is working with the breath.

The wierd music is probably meditative music to help his clients relax. Energy flows more efficiently within your body when you relax.

Open your mind. Western medicine has a much different concept of how the human body works and how to cure disease than Eastern medicine. Research and learn. Then explore for yourself what works and what doesn't. Don't dismiss something because you are uneducated about it.

If that were true we would all be going to him. You do feel the heat from hands near your body and for some people it can make them feel better, but I don't see them being cured of a disease because of this.
