The reason why I'M asking this is to see if there are any other "African Americans" such as myself that feel that this entire situation has been blown totally out of control by people like Al Sharpton, Rev. Jackson, Martin L. King lll, and many others of "our" race. Now maybe I'm wrong but where I come from when one individual is attacked by two or more people , those that are on the attacked are considered a "gang". Color has nothing to do with what is going on in Jena,LA and our "elders" know this.Racism is alive,I believe, because of those that continue to live in the past. The young man ,Mr. Bell who is incarcerated, has a prior juvenille record. This is NOT his first run in with the law (so reports say). And all those people that descended down on Jena,an estimated number of somewhere between 25-60 THOUSAND, selling t-shirts, b-bque, paid to load up on buses and so forth, why then didn't anyone contribute at least $5 apeice to his bail to help get him out

For one no I am not "black" my skin tone is carmel thank-you very much, but I am of African American descent.I watched CNN last night did you that young Mr. Bell was already on probation for fighting at least 4 other times what must one do as a law offical when you have a reckless person on your hands.Evidently,I'm sorry to say, maybe his parents can't handle/contrl him andhe needs to be a ward of the state.Take it from someone who USED

......to be a problem child. It was only the right thing for my mom to do at that time. This young man is a trouble maker and is getting his just desserts.Do you know how many times I've been called a ''N".You can call me what you want just as long as you don't put your hands on me.Although the name calling was wrong, those young men had absolutely NO right to put their hands on that boy PERIOD.What have your parents been teaching you???The boys that hung the nooses were suspended. They should have just left it alone.....But when you think about it really none of the NON-RESIDENTS of Jena was there wgen it took plce anyway so who you all to judge. That's what's wrong with the world today people need to mind their own damn business.....

Bravo! I feel the same way. Great point! All the money that changed hands in Jena, and no bail money! Way to go leaders! Martin Luther King, Jr. would protest for all people, not just some!

Thank you, thank you! I am from here and I wish everyone knew the truth. The people of Jena do not want the media here.

The whole thing was not like it was portrayed. If only the picture could unfold as it really happened it would be so fair.

there is no way you are black. No way. I as a Canadian sit on yahoo and day after day after day after day all I see is racism on this. Making fun of black people over and over and over. I am white and i am proud to live in a country that doesnt have the hate and racism your country has against anyone that isnt white and speak english. This is going to bring your country to its knees. Disgusting.

So true. You do the crime; you pay the crime. Those boys are not innocent, they need to be reprimanded, as well as the little white boys too !
