...although I have adamantly expressed my dismay over the splitting of the two "Grindhouse" feature films, "Death Proof" and "Planet Terror" for DVD release, I really must admit, Best Buy (...providing there's one in your area) has put out one hell of a pretty good exclusive collector's edition package for "Death Proof"; it comes in a steelbook case, containing not only the two discs for the film, but also a third disc, containing the televised "Grindhouse" special, as well as a $5 coupon for the October release of "Planet Terror" (...hopefully, also available in the steelbook collector's edition, as well)...
...as far as the extended version of "Death Proof" itself, it was surprisingly quite worthwhile to watch, and afford those already familiar with the previous theatrical version, some additional insight on the characters, as well as the film's inspiration; this alternate cut of the film, which included the notorious 'missing reel' lapdance sequence, further exhues director Quentin Tarantino's love of fast cars and jolting, breath-taking car chases, as well as his penchant fantasy of being, for lack of a better term, a 'fly on the wall', with regards to girl talk. The film also keys in on Tarantino's love of Italian 'giallo' films, in particular, the films of Euro-director Dario Argento, with subtle hints at films like "Tenebre" and "The Bird with the Crystal Plummage"...
...I'd say, this limited edition, special collector's steelbook DVD, is probably one of September's better selections...

Yeah, Gracie is really good I was surprised I love girly movies and this is more of a sports movie and I loved it, both of my parents really like it. We Are Marshall also is supposed to be very good. Knocked Up comes out on Tuesday and is hilarious!
Little Miss Sunshine came out awhile ago but it's really good too.
