No, those are folk tales from various European countries that claim only on the March equinox (some include the September equinox), you can balance an egg on its point.
But you can balance an egg on its point any day of the year if you have the patience.

not true. equinox really doesn't have anything to do with it. jus a myth. if you can balance an egg on the equinox and not any other day...maybe conicidink :D bottom line...its not true.......
