is it like abstinece?

A Baby is innocent because it hasn't learned or experienced certain things yet.
Innocence means untried. Having no knowledge of the larger things of life. Abstinence means doing without. As if I abstained from eating certain foods for religious purposes.(Which I don't)

Innocence...Freedom from guilt or sin through being unaquainted with evil. Blamelessness.
Abstinence...Is the act of staying away from a positively reinforced or pleasurable behaviour. It is typically a voluntary act. It can be imposed, and it typically occurs when an individual experiences a decreased sense of personal control over a behaviour ie consumption of alcohol.
They are dissimilar words as stated by another contributor

innocence MEANS WITHOUT GUILT OR SIN-- abstinence MEANS TO NOT INDULGE IN...TO ABSTAIN...THE WORDS ARE DISSIMILAR
