The first number is the width between the shoulders of the tire in mm 235 the second number is the size of the sidewall in aspect ratio 75 the third number is the circumference of the bead 15 OK 235/75/15
to get the aspect ratio divide 75 into 235 and that's the distance of the sidewall.

ie 245/45/17

245 means how wide the tire is in mm
45 means how tall the side walls are in mm
and 17 means the radius of the tire in inches, inner circle(ie wheel size, 17 inch rims, if you were using 18 inch rims, the final number should be 18)

the first # is the width of the tire, then the next is the profile of the tires sidewall, then its usualy R for radial and the size of the rim the tire will fit on.

i believe that would be the psi the tire requires to be fully pumped up...but i am not sure
