Cos it could be another hoax. Remember there has been so many already. And after this length of time deep down I think people know she is already dead.

Agree with TGibby and surprisingly enough I agree with Scarey Mary.. At least follow them if they leave. This a the world of technology. There are very few people in this world who do not have a cell phone. I would go up to someone else and say hey doent that look like Madeleine McCann can I use your cellto call the police. I have wondered so many times exactly just what you wrote.

I think it may be a bit frightening for Madeleine if someone just went up and grabbed her shouting "police police".. also , imagine the terror of another little girl, if it wasn't her.
The right thing to do would be to approach the adult and say something like "Excuse me, I just noticed your child really looks like little Madeleine McCann " and look at THE EYE.
People can not just go around grabbing hold of 4yr old blonde kids at random. They need to apply BRAINS & DIPLOMACY. They could be putting their own life in danger, let alone the childs.

Definitely see what you are getting at. If I saw a child with an eye like Madeliene I would grab first, call the police and if I am mistaken take the consequences.........which I doubt would be much as everyone in every country is aware we are all looking for this little girl.

Thats whats i thought. If they are so certain its her, then why dont they alert everyone and call the police instead of leaving it. If that was me, i would try and go up to her, and ask her what her name is, or alert somebody. I think these people want the attention. How many sightings have there been now, and they turned out to be a total waste of rubbish.
Im sorry to say but i dont think she is alive anymore.

I suppose if someone really thought they saw Madeleine, the thing to do would be to try to get near enough for a really good look, and perhaps speak to her, even ask her if she is Madeleine. Of course there've been so many sightings, and pictures printed of little girls said to "bear a striking resemblance to Madeleine" but who really look nothing like her, apart from being blonde and the right age. I suppose that even though it would almost always end in embarrassment and recriminations, there's always the tiny chance that just once it would really be Madeleine. Wouldn't that be great, to be able to help that little girl see her Mum and Dad again? I hope she isn't dead.

My thoughts exactly. My Friend has a little girl who has a very close resemblance to little Maddie so I asked her how would she feel if someone was to ask her about her little girl if they thought she was Maddie, said she would understand. So I reckon most parents would feel the same and understand if you approached them. Any abductor if faced with questioning would prob run off leaving little Maddie behind. So go for it... If you see a kid and suspect it is her, go and talk to her. You never know...

maddie was not seen in a cafe, it was a false alarm, and you cant go round grabbing peoples kids, you have very good intentions, there might be a chance that it wasn,t maddie, then you would be in a whole lot of trouble

I know what you mean i think that if i saw a child i thought to be her the first thing i would do was challenge the adult with her and not let them leave and kick up a fuss so others around me didn't let them leave either if it turned out not to be her any adult would see the point of doing this in the first place
